Current Zoning Change and Subdivision Requests
December 10, 2015 Planning and Zoning Commission:

The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of Benbrook will hold a public hearing on Thursday, December 10, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 911 Winscott Road to consider the following:

Planned Development Site Plan for a 144 dwelling unit, multiple family residential development having four two-story building; four three-story buildings; and one office/clubhouse building on a portion (B-1) being the south 10.5 acres of Tract B, Block 7, Boston Heights Addition (3510 Boston Avenue)

The above Planned Development Site Plan consideration is for a 144 unit multiple family apartment residential development on the vacant 10.5 acre site on the west side of Boston Avenue, west of the Western Hills High School auxiliary parking lot and baseball field.  The 3510 Boston Avenue site is zoned “D-PD-NAS” Multiple Family District and has been zoned for multiple family residential use since 1970.  The NAS designation is an overlay district recognizing aircraft noise from the Naval Air Station and requires design and construction to achieve an inside sound level reduction of 30 decibels from the outside noise level.

The Site Plan indicates one two-way driveway connection and one exit only driveway connection to Boston Avenue.  An emergency access only gate is shown at the current dead end of Westerly Road.  The four two-story buildings are shown on the south portion on the site and the four three-story buildings are shown on the north portion of the site.  The Site Plan indicates a gated controlled access development with an eight-foot wrought iron fence with masonry columns along the Boston Avenue frontage and eight-foot masonry walls along the interior south, west and north property lines.

This is not a summons but a Notice of Public Hearing and all interested citizens are invited to attend.  If further information is needed prior to the meeting, please feel free to contact Development Applications at (817) 249-3000.
